Passed the Technician Exam March, 09 2020. Passed the General Exam January 16, 2021. Passed the Extra Exam May 09, 2022.
Have always been fascinated by radio, Its technology, the propagation. I really liked doing the night shift on AM broadcast Stations. My background is from Commercial Broadcast. Spent the first 25 years managing Commercial Broadcast Radio Stations. Have spent some time behind the Microphone of several Midwest and East Coast AM and FM stations. The last 15 years have been involved in the engineering and construction of Several AM-FM, and TV Broadcast Stations.
There is so much going on in Ham Radio that it feels like I am just barely experiencing the hobby. I have played with Analog Simplex, Digital Simplex, Analog Repeaters, Digital Repeaters, DMR, DStar, and Fusion, HF Voice, and HF Digital. At the moment I am leaning HF DX doesnt really matter which mode of operation though FT-8 must say is pretty cool!!
